T-Rex Down Under by MilwaukeeDriver T-Rex Down Under by MilwaukeeDriver
Here's an interesting guy! I made him AUSTRALAN because at some point while he was being drawn, he reminded me of Crocidile Dundee. His Australian-ness was an afterthough, as I noticed he seemed to be halfway between Paul Hogan and Yoshi.

He is holding a Wisconsin quarter.

~UsagiTenshi gave me this idea in a comment in my Shark-Face deviation. She said something in my comments section to the effect of "this doesn't look anything like a guy with a shark's face you talentless hack!! DRAW A WERE-T-REX BEFORE I KILL YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY!!!! And I was like OK!!!!!!!!

So here you go! :)

A T-rex across the ditch? Now there's a helluva interesting concept. Now all Middle Earth needs is a Raptor...or maybe a ninja tuatara to keep up.

wisconsin quarter: FORWARD! and corn and cows... just a brilliant representation as to what Wisconsin truly stands for.

great colors - that's what drew me in initially, and then I realized: JESUS, IT'S A FRIGGIN WERE-T-REX... And then I looked closer, and realized it wasn't... OR IS IT?

Great look to it, though. Boffo.

Yea, I figured if a Wallabi could speak he'd say shit at that moment. No one is going to mess with this guy I can imagine some guy breaking his knuckles on his dermis alone.

No, chopmunk. It's like a chipmunk except with spikes and can shoot acid out of its mouth.

:shakefist: Curse you and your out-dated stereotyping!

Nice work though. I've never actually been "down under." <-- whoever coined that phrase, given that they're still alive,
SHOULD BE STABBED WITH CUTLERY.

Curse all you want, but tell me you don't barbeque outdoors at leat twice a week. Actually, it's intersting that you mention the "down under" thing... I found this GREAT "Upside Down" map of the world, where south is up and north is down, flipping the tterly ucomplelty artificail convention. I bought it for $25 (and got it framed for $250 US).

Plus: I'm AMERICAN, gall darn it! I'm UNSTEREOTYPEABLE!!!! =P How do australians generalize Americans? I mean, Australia has, like, 4-5 main things that we fixate on: kangaroos, dingos, Paul Hogan, Crocidile Hunter, and the Sydney Opera House, and shades thereof. And the tazmanian devil. Are there USA equivalents to these 5 key points?

[sorry I took so long to reply. I was [briefly] -(24hrs)- suspended (again; same pathetic reason as first)…]
At least it wasn't a week this time.

Hahahahahaha....No. Personally my family doesn't eat "barbeque" "outdoors" more than twice a week,
But this begs the question: how many meals a week do you cook inside; and are not either takeaway;
"fast-food" or easy, ready-made meals you can heat with microwaves or ovens??

Well… I'm having a hard time finding things off the top of my head
that don't sound 'abusive' or that may hurt your feelings..
But here goes...
My 5 "OSStraaalien" generalizations of America:

-America is the only place in the world that exists, and is worth living in;
Everywhere else is inhabited by either 'savages,' low IQ wielding morons or plain annoying people that
won't worship you.
-You only take interest in countries which have assets that can make you rich.
[get rich quick schemes also fall into this generalization; therefore not counting as another].
-Your Hollywood movies are highly over-worked fantasy-versions of any given topic.
-You seem to worship those that you call "actors/actresses" which in many cases have no talent whatsoever,
and should be either replaced immediately or shot on sight.
-In general, it seems, your race has an obsession with large, 'fancy-looking' things.
Your cars, guns, neon signs (which have been plaguing us, like---THE PLAGUE)... etc.

Is this competition; if so: -what for?

Now that's my five, but seeing as you added the Tasmanian devil; counting as a sixth,
I shall add another, too..
-American people, in general are a little too arrogant;
and should think before they speak; & rethink actions and their consequences before executing them..

That's all I've got.
No hard feelings cast against you, yourself.. These are just my generalizations of your country;
as it appears to the rest of the world.
So if this isn't the 'real America'.....then tell me, what is? :confused:

Hiya --I'm been offline for, like, the last 2 weeks, so sorry for the slow response!!

I like you list a lot! Yeah, I understand these are generalizations, so no hard feelings at all! :D .

God. I eat SO much prepared food. I'm eating prepared food right now. But I have excuses, though; Like, say, how I don't frequently do dishes.

I do have a gun, and it IS big. But it was made in Italy. And I suck at shooting it.

I can't defend holliwood, although if Prarie Home Companion is ever shown in Australia, go see it: I live 3 blocks away from where it was filmed.

In terms of how I think the actual, true Am-ahRRRRR-ica is like:

It's complicated because there isn't one, all-encompassing "America". I can at least say we are generally more humble than what the media lets on, although dumber people are usually the obnoxious kind that other people see from the viewpoint of other countries. I say, for the best possible representation of at least a calmer, smarter USA listen to NPR radio webcasts (npr.org) or specifically, Minnesota Public Radio (mpr.org). Both are FREE and fast.

I like monster trucks, demolition derbys, state fairs, and Packer games, as a lot of (redneck, but great) Americans do. My generation (as a whole, not just my circle of friends) like Video games, the Matrix, LoTR, having decent cars, music, TV, and jobs that pay well, as a lot of people in a lot of countries do.

But, alas, I'm a moderate from the Midwest, which means anything that I do, say, or think doesn't matter.

I'm not sure why this is, but my mind has been wandering to Austrailaaia a lot recently when it comes to my art. For instance, I have an out-space invasion picture in the works where the alien ships seem to be aiming at a part of the earth which looks suspicisiously like Australia.

. . . It's wierd. 2 Australia pics in a row. . .
