Family Crest

A wood carving and painting project that I did for my friend's wedding.  Interesting exercise! 

The Manteling is all designed by me, incorporating his wife's family knot and some other imagery.  The crest itself is the standard OConnell Crest, but I updated the stag and clover design because I didn't like what google was showing.

 I think I hate carving now, but I like the end product!

Dremmel, scroll saw, belt sander.  Stain and paint and urethane clear coat.  AND TIME!!!!!!
